Looking for Sydney Auction Houses from the Eastern Suburbs, Northern Beaches or Inner West? Try This:
If you’ve never been to an auction before, you’re missing out on an exciting and effective way to shop. Auctions provide opportunities to find treasures that might easily have been passed over in the corners of consignment shops, and to acquire them without being gouged by commission-driven salesmen. Instead, you compete with other interested buyers, which means that if you can find a piece that interests you more than it interests anyone else, you can often get it for an extremely agreeable price. Finding an auction house in Sydney that carries a wide selection of carefully inspected items can be tricky, though, especially if you’re searching for an auction house accessible from Inner West, the Eastern Suburbs or Northern Beaches. You’ll need a place you can reach with relative ease, and one where each lot has been approved by professionals who have spent whole careers assessing the value of antiques and other goods.
Barsby’s Auctions is run by a team of careful inspectors and auctioneers, and our owner has over 30 years of experience in the antique trade. Furthermore, our auction house is near Northern Beaches, and is easily reachable from the Eastern Suburbs and Inner West. Considered one of the best Sydney auction houses for over six years, Barsby’s holds monthly auctions on the third weekend of each month at our Crows Nest location, as well as a number of special events and in-house auctions. You’ll be able to find art, jewellery, antique furniture, coins, stamps, ceramics, silver, and a wide variety of other items for your collection of valuables when you participate in our next event.
Scheduling and Organisation
Barsby’s auctions off jewellery, coins, stamps and art on Saturdays. Sunday sees us auctioning off antique furniture, ceramics, glass, military items, silver, oriental products and collectibles. Generally, between 1200 and 1800 unique lots are auctioned. Catalogues appear online four days before the sale, with illustrations of all of the lots. Digital photographs and condition reports can also be requested up to 24 hours ahead of time. Friday before the sale the items to be auctioned will be on view 12noon - 5pm. On sale day, the proceedings start at noon but customers may arrive anytime after 9 AM to get a better look at the items on display.
